LA Times Features Transgender Fashion on Skid Row Portrait Series
Lamp Community is proud to provide the homeless LGBT community with a safe and welcoming environment and to respect each individual’s identity. We are especially happy to be able to provide support for the transgender community, a group that often faces discrimination when seeking services. Our staff member, Beth Stirnaman had the chance to make a portrait series of some of these individuals, and we are proud to share that it was featured in the LA Times photography blog. Lamp would also like thank the Roots Foundation and Palace Beauty College volunteers who helped to support this project.
